ABOUT GIANCARLO
Born in Italy, renowned hairstylist Giancarlo first studied hairdressing
and trichology in Rome, in Via Condotti. After which he ran his
own salons and began teaching advanced master classes in colour
and cutting techniques throughout Europe in the 1980’s and
early 90’s, before moving to Australia in 1995.
Even as a very young stylist in Rome, Giancarlo’s highly
developed skills and professionalism led to his early years styling
hair throughout the European fashion and film industry, including
Italian Vogue and Harpers Bazaar and a substantial following of
well known clientele from the corporate and fashion industry.
He has continued to develop an enviable reputation throughout his
career through his unwavering high standards and by working with
many of the most respected names in hair and beauty: including Sergio
Valente (the internationally recognised hair master), Elizabeth
Arden, and on the catwalks of fashions shows for celebrated designers
such as Giorgio Armani, Fendi and Rocco Barocco.
Throughout his career he has also been perfecting his revolutionary
hair regime which focuses on restoring health to hair through the
use of his own environmentally-friendly products for both ‘at
home’ and salon use - with the focus on nature and gentle
ingredients such as botanical oils and plant extracts.
Whilst Giancarlo’s dedication to his craft and passion for
his job has seen him styling and teaching hair techniques, colour
and hair health in Italy, Paris, London, he is now running his own
salon and hair product line based out of Australia: where he relishes
being able to access an incredibly high standard of Australian grown
botanical, eco-friendly ingredients for his product line and a level
of expertise second to none in the world.
For 16 years, Giancarlo ran his popular boutique hair salon in
Queen Street in Woollahra and has recently relocated to his new
premises in 1/1 Transvaal Ave Double Bay, primarily for his revolutionary
new BOTANICO SALON fit out and people friendly space Double Bay
provides. Double Bay is the perfect fit for his new botanically
focused, nature friendly concept salon and the Botanico Salon hair
product line. He has established a loyal following of high profile
Australian as well as international clientele throughout the area
and with his product range now available in his new salon and on-line,
continues his life-long passion for healthy, beautiful hair naturally.
